TMHE Self Assessment

The TeleMental Health Examination (TMHE) is administered as part of the certification process that independently verifies a candidate's knowledge of core telemental health best practices. It was created from the consensus of subject matter experts in telemental health services and normed on a population of professionals in the field.

As a supplement to the formal TMHE, CCE has developed a self-assessment tool that may be used for developmental benchmarking and by individuals for self-assessment of knowledge retention.

This TMHE Self-Assessment is designed to help individuals gauge their retention of critical knowledge. By completing a self-assessment of content knowledge in core areas, individuals will find that they better understand their personal areas of strengths and challenges. This knowledge can help individuals more easily develop a plan for supplementary professional development and training in core content areas that prove more personally challenging. Individuals may find that this self-assessment can serve as a benchmarking tool to ensure they have developed and retained key knowledge necessary for success in telemental health and do not need remedial support prior to progressing into the next phase of their expertise.

The self-assessment is not appropriate for utilization as a credentialing examination because publicly related items are susceptible to broad exposure effects and as such have limited psychometric utility. As such, this self-assessment CANNOT be used to meet the credentialing examination requirement.
